Celina's housing stock is almost entirely new, and so is its vehicle fleet. A town that has nearly quadrupled since 2020 is a town full of recent-model trucks and SUVs, and on anything from roughly 2018 onward there is a forward-facing camera mounted to the windshield.
Move that glass by a couple of millimetres and the camera's aim changes with it. Lane keeping, adaptive cruise and automatic emergency braking will still light up on the dash and still behave as though they are working. They will simply be measuring the wrong part of the road, and nothing on the instrument cluster will tell you.
A static calibration is done indoors against a printed target at a measured distance on level ground. A dynamic calibration is done by driving at a set speed on well-marked road while the system relearns. Some manufacturers require both, in a specific order. Any shop that replaces an ADAS windshield and hands the keys back without calibrating has given you a vehicle whose safety systems are quietly misaimed.
